King of the Challenge

Team Southern Ground snagged this 47.3 pound kingfish and a $13,420 payout at the Sailfish Challenge tournament over the weekend!! Captain Ben Sharpe and his crew were fishing off the Juno ledge in 110 feet when the big king launched and missed a goggle eye on the long kite bait. The fish ate the middle kite bait not long after and McLovin (their angler) fought it for 20 minutes and ’Still’, their gaff man put the steel in the monster king and hauled it over the rub rail with high fives all around from the team. Congrats on a great catch team!!!!
