Pro Tips: Rigging In-Line Outriggers

In-line outriggers offer a much cleaner means to fish your lines and reduce the chances of lines getting hung up on extra hardware. Recently we teamed up with Captain Art Sapp, Native Son Charters, to produce a video on how to rig internal outriggers. One pointer he shared from experience involved forming a loop with the end of the outrigger line and using a crimp to hold the loop in place without actually crimping down on the loop. The loop makes it easier to feed the line through the inside of the rigger without having it get hung up on any of the internal hardware. We also used a dehooker to easily grab and pull the line out once the loop reached the opening at the end of the rigger.
