The Final Leg of the 2022 PBSC wraps up with the Saltwater Showdown August 13, 2022!
Summer is starting to wind down and the third and final leg of the Mercury/ SeaVee Pompano Beach Saltwater Circuit is right around the corner. The Saltwater Showdown will take place on Saturday August 13th, 2022 as teams line up for the last major meat fish tournament of the season. With a handful of teams in the hunt for the coveted Showdown Crown title, the third leg of the PBSC is sure to be a treat! In addition to the Showdown Crown, there are TWO HUGE jackpots up for grabs in the Showdown!! The KDW & the Pick 3 have rolled over from the Shootout & the Slam and have accrued to over $30,000 for each calcutta!!

The Saltwater Showdown is open to all fishing teams regardless of whether they participated in a previous leg of the PBSC series. On Thursday, August 11th, 2022 the kick off party/ captain’s
meeting will be held at the Charlotte Burrie Center, which is a new location for the party. Come check out the last get together of the summer series and enjoy drinks from Landshark Lager, Islamorada Brewery & Distillery, comfort food from neighborhood favorite Bonefish Mac’s Sports Bar and meet some tournament sponsors such as Pelagic, Eddie Forbes, and Unlimited Marine.
Competition day is set for Saturday, August 14th, 2022. The main weigh-in will be held at Sullivan Park in Deerfield Beach . Lines out at 4:00pm and all teams have until 5:00pm to be checked in at either of two locations. The scales open at 4:00pm and the weigh-in is open to the public! The party will be poppin at Sullivan Park at the main weigh in scales! Enjoy music from DJ Select, grab a Landshark beer, cocktail or Crooked Palm Seltzer from Islamorada Brewery & Distillery at the Galuppi’s bar and best of all get a front row seat to the weigh-in and watch the big fish hit the scales! Tournament anglers can also enjoy the tastiest chicken sandwich on earth compliments of Chick-Fil-A!
**NEW ** for the Showdown, a satellite weigh-in scale has been added at SAILFISH MARINA in Palm Beach!! The addition of a satellite scale to the north is intended to make the tournament more accessible for teams to the north and help to reduce the fuel burn for all teams with the option to weigh at the location that is most convenient for them. The same rules apply for the Sailfish Marina Weigh in, teams have a 5:00 deadline to check in, and the scales will be open from 4pm until the last boat comes to weigh.
With a wide variety of prize categories including a small boat division, non-pro division, big fish payouts, and more, there will be no shortage of ways for teams to cash a hefty check at the Showdown. An awards ceremony will be held to hand out those checks on Sunday, August 14th, 2022 at the Charlotte Burrie Center from 2:00pm-5:00pm. Food will be provided from Boca Fish House and be sure to tip generously at the tournament bar with proceeds going directly to the official charity of the PBSC, Mission Fishin .
